QUENTIN
TARANTINO
SECRETS
IN RESERVOIR DOGS

A paramedic was on set the entire time to make sure the amount of blood Mr. Orange (Tim Roth) loses was realistic and enough to keep his character alive.
Before filming his scene, Kirk Baltz asked Michael Madsen (Mr. Blonde) if he could if he could ride in the trunk of Madsen's car, to see what it was like. During the ride Madsen went through a fast food drive-thru. The soda Mr. Blonde is seen with in the film is the actual one he bought on his joy ride.

Tarantino tried many times to get James Woods to be in the film as Mr. Orange, contacting his agent so many times he even offered five different salaries, yet Wood's agent still refused without mentioning anything to James Woods. Tarantino and Woods later met after the movie was released and was notified about the offers and rejections exchanged by Woods' agent and Tarantino. Woods was so annoyed about this that he had fired his agent.

The budget for Reservoir Dogs was so small that the film makers couldn't get police assistance to stop the traffic. Because of this, the scene in which Mr. Pink is hit by a car then forces a woman out of her car, could only be filmed on a green light.
