The shot in which Marcellus stops  in the middle of the road and sees Butch is copied exact from the film Psycho.

Tarantino always tries to fit himself somewhere in his film castings. He was hesitant on whether to play Jimmie or Lance, but later chose to play Jimmie as he wanted to be behind the camera during the syringe scene.

The sequence where Vincent evidently stabs the syringe into Mia's chest was originally shot backwards, having the syringe being dramitically pulled out rather than jabbed through Mia's chest. This shot was reversed and thought out to give the full effect.

During Travolta's research, he spoke to a  recovering heroin addict (a friend of Tarantino's). The addict suggested he get drunk on tequila and lie in a hot pool, this being the closest representation of being on the drug, without actually being on it.

After the iconic dance scene, we see Vincent and Mia walk into her house with the trophy and we assume that they won the contest. However, later on a quiet advert says that the trophy has been stolen - Vincent and Mia lost and stole the trophy.
